For consultants, contractors and project owners

Commercial Hot Water Systems for Hotels, Hospitals and Compounds

Central hot water engineered from your drawings — electric storage calorifiers, heat pumps, or calorifiers on your existing boilers. Heatec is an Atlantic technical partner and authorized distributor in Egypt, supplying Atlantic's commercial storage calorifiers from 500 to 3,000 litres with load calculation, selection, submittals and commissioning by our own engineering team.

Projects we design hot water for

Each building type has its own load profile. Sizing it on the real profile is what keeps the plant small enough to be hygienic and large enough never to run cold.

Hotels and resorts

Guest rooms, kitchens and laundry on one central plant, sized for the morning peak rather than a theoretical worst case that leaves stored water standing.

Hospitals and clinics

Storage at 60 °C and a circulation return held above 55 °C for Legionella control, with thermostatic mixing at outlets to protect patients from scalding.

Residential compounds and towers

A central plant per building, or a heat-pump water heater per unit. We compare both on capital and running cost before you choose.

Gyms, clubs and sports facilities

Short, intense shower peaks after classes and matches, where recovery rate matters more than storage volume.

Staff housing, schools and dormitories

High simultaneous use at fixed times, sized on the actual timetable rather than a generic per-person figure.

Factories and industrial sites

Process and amenity hot water, including sites off the gas network where electric or heat-pump heating is the only option.

Four ways to deliver hot water to a project

The right system depends on the energy available on site, the load profile and who pays the running cost. We size more than one option and show you the numbers side by side.

01

Electric storage calorifiers

Atlantic Cortherm and Corhydro enamelled storage tanks from 500 to 3,000 litres. The simplest central plant where there is no gas. Cortherm's ceramic Steatite element is the choice for hard water.

02

Heat pump with storage

A heat pump carries most of the daily energy at a fraction of the electricity of resistance heating, with electric back-up for peaks. Higher first cost, lower running cost: a trade-off we calculate for your tariff and operating hours.

03

Coil calorifiers on existing boilers

Atlantic Corflow single-coil and Corfirst multi-energy calorifiers connect to a boiler circuit, with an optional electric element as back-up when the gas supply is interrupted.

04

Decentralised water heaters

Where a central loop is not justified — apartments, chalets, small clinics — Atlantic Calypso heat-pump water heaters or electric water heaters per unit, with no distribution losses at all.

Atlantic commercial storage calorifiers

Atlantic's commercial and industrial calorifier families, from the manufacturer's catalogue. Potable hot-water tanks are diamond-enamelled steel with magnesium anode protection.

What we do for consultants and contractors

Send the drawings, or just the room, bed and fixture counts. You get back documents you can put straight into a specification or a tender.

  • Hot-water load calculation by two independent methods, with every assumption written down.
  • Equipment selection and schedule: storage volume, heating capacity in kW and electrical load, stated separately.
  • Schematic, specification clause text and manufacturer datasheets ready for your tender documents.
  • Submittals and technical clarifications through tender and approval.
  • Supply through Atlantic's authorized channel in Egypt, with the manufacturer warranty registered locally.
  • Installation, commissioning and maintenance contracts by Heatec's own engineering team, with lifetime after-sales support.

Design points we check on every project

Most problems in commercial hot water come from oversizing, ignoring the return loop or poor temperature control, not from the equipment itself.

  • Storage at 60 °C and a circulation return held at 50 °C or above (55 °C in healthcare) for Legionella control. Thermostatic mixing at outlets, never lower storage temperatures.
  • Recirculation losses counted in the heater duty. In large buildings they are a substantial share of total hot-water energy.
  • No oversizing for its own sake. Stored water that turns over less than once a day is a hygiene risk, not a safety margin.
  • Hard water and scale in Egyptian supplies, which decide the element type, anode protection and maintenance plan.
  • Electrical capacity on site: the kW load of an electric plant, or the smaller absorbed power of a heat pump, against the supply available.
  • Coastal sites on the Red Sea and North Coast: salt air and high ambient temperatures in the siting of outdoor heat-pump units.

Why specify through Heatec

  • Atlantic technical partner and authorized distributor in Egypt, under the August 2026 agreement with Alarabia Group for Project Services, Atlantic's exclusive agent.
  • One accountable team from load calculation to commissioning. The engineer who sizes the plant is the one who signs it off.
  • 400+ completed projects across Egypt.
  • Written technical offers with the datasheet attached, so the consultant can check every number.
  • Spare parts and service through the manufacturer's channel, not grey imports.

Common questions

Can Heatec size the hot water for our project before a contractor is appointed?

Yes. Send the architectural drawings or the room, bed and fixture counts and we return a load calculation, equipment schedule and specification text free of charge. Consultants use it to write the specification; owners use it to compare offers.

Electric storage or heat pump for a hotel?

It depends on operating hours, electricity tariff and capital budget. A heat pump uses a fraction of the electricity for the same hot water but costs more to install, so it pays back fastest where hot water is used every day of the year. We calculate both options for your project.

What sizes do Atlantic commercial calorifiers come in?

From 500 to 3,000 litres per tank depending on the family, and tanks can be combined for larger plants.

How is Legionella controlled?

By temperature and layout: stored water at 60 °C, a circulation return kept at 50 °C or above (55 °C in healthcare), short dead legs, and thermostatic mixing valves at outlets to prevent scalding.

Can you work with our MEP contractor?

Yes. We supply equipment with selection and commissioning support to the appointed contractor, or deliver the complete hot-water package ourselves, whichever the project needs.

Does the Atlantic warranty apply in Egypt?

Yes, on equipment supplied through Atlantic's channel in Egypt and installed by an approved installer. Atlantic commercial calorifiers carry a 5-year warranty on the tank and 2 years on removable parts; terms for every other product are stated in our written offer.
